Lana’s advice about resistance:

When it gets hard — move toward it. “Anytime I experience resistance, I move toward it. I find out what it’s about and  the harder it is, the more curious I become. And so, my whole orientation to life is now curiosity.”

There is wisdom in knowing when to move toward resistance. There are times when we feel resistance or fear and we need to listen to it. Resistance and some fear is healthy. It’s what keeps us safe from physical danger. However, when we don’t know why we feel fear…there’s no obvious rational reason to feel resistance, caution or fear, then when you decide to move into the resistance, do so with good reason, planning and wise counsel from those who love you. Move steadily, one clear step at a time, circling, circling around and around to see where it takes you next. That is exactly how big shifts are made in our life journey.

Lana reminds us that life only brings us things/challenges that bring us more life and make us whole and complete in every way. Resistance is about moving deeper into that which makes us whole so we can be of greater service to life.

Quote from Lana’s grandfather:

“Be careful what you bury, you may be burying it alive”

Rumi quote:

“When I run after what I think I want, my days are a furnace of stress and anxiety; if I sit in my own place of patience, what I need flows to me, and without pain. From this I understand that what I want also wants me, is looking for me and attracting me. There is a great secret here for anyone who can grasp it.”
